13 November 2004 -- Iranian news agencies are citing Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi as saying Tehran has gone as far as it can to meet European Union demands over its nuclear program.
The EU, led by Britain, France, and Germany, has led talks with Tehran offering Iran civilian nuclear technology in exchange for a suspension of its uranium-enrichment activities -- something that can be used to make nuclear weapons.
Iran denies allegations it is trying to develop an atomic bomb.
Iran on 11 November delivered its final response to the EU. The EU has given no details of the Iranian offer and has not said whether a deal has been reached.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reportedly delayed a new report on Iran's nuclear activities, pending the EU decision.
The IAEA report could affect whether Iran is referred to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions.
