17 November 2004 -- An exiled Iranian opposition group says Tehran is working on a covert nuclear weapons program at a site unknown to the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Shahin Gobadi, a spokesman for the National Council for Resistance of Iran (NCRI), says the NCRI will disclose details of the site, including its address, at a news conference in Paris today.
The NCRI is a political front for an exiled opposition group -- the People's Mujahedin Organization.
The U.S. State Department considers the People's Mujahedin Organization a terrorist group, but political pressures are building in Washington to give it American backing.
Britain, France, and Germany announced an agreement this week that commits Iran to temporarily suspending uranium enrichment in exchange for possible rewards.
Iran denies U.S. charges that it covertly seeks nuclear arms.
