26 September 2005 (RFE/RL) -- Iraqi Trade Minister Abd al-Basit Karim Mawlud said his ministry will distribute copies of the draft constitution to Iraqis, RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq (RFI) has reported.
The copies that are currently being printed by the UN will be distributed with the monthly food ration, which replaced the UN-run oil-for-food program.
According to Mawlud, every Iraqi family should obtain a copy of the draft before the 15 October vote.
The copies of the draft, printed in Arabic and Kurdish, will number around 5 million, according to RFI.
Mawlud said his ministry was building on experience from the January parliamentary elections, where voter registration cards were handed with food rations.
