Asian Development Bank Quadruples Loans To Azerbaijan

(RFE/RL) 28 February 2006 -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has decided to substantially increase the size of loans extended to Azerbaijan.

The ADB said in a statement today that it will in 2007 lend Azerbaijan $179 million for infrastructure projects.


This marks a sharp increase from the $39 million in loans earmarked for that country in 2006.
