Explosion At Afghan Army Depot Kills Two

(RFE/RL) March 24, 2006 -- An explosion at an Afghan army ammunition depot has killed two people and injured some 45 others.

The blast reportedly damaged several houses in a village near the blast site, north of Charikar, the capital of the central province of Parvan.


The governor of Parvan Province, Abdul Jabar Taqwa, said it remains unclear what caused the explosion, which occurred late on March 23.
