Romania Sending Kyrgyzstan Emergency Storm Aid

(RFE/RL) March 29, 2006 -- The Romanian government said today Romania will send emergency humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan.

The aid will be used for parts of the country that were hit by a snow storm that damaged thousands of buildings and killed at least four people.

The aid, which is worth about $570,000, consists of winter clothes, boots, and tea.
