The student news agency ISNA quoted Mohammad Ebrahim Dehqani, a commander in Iran's Revolutionary Guards, as saying Israel would be Iran's first target if the United States were to do anything "evil."

The United States has warned it will seek sanctions if Iran does not halt its uranium enrichment program, but has not ruled out possible military action.

An April 28 report issued by the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, stated that Iran continues to ignore UN demands.
