June 22, 2006 -- Russian Finance Minister Aleksei Kudrin says Russia will repay the remaining $22 billion of its Soviet-era debt to the Paris Club of creditor nations by August.
Most Paris Club creditors have agreed in principle to Russia repaying its debt early, but some, Germany in particular, have resisted the plan.
