Group Condemns Interrogation Of Iranian Journalists

(RFE/RL) November 21, 2006 -- Iran's Journalists Association has condemned the interrogation of some 20 Iranian journalists who returned to Tehran after attending a two-week training course in the Netherlands.

The group says the journalists were interrogated for several hours in the early hours of November 20 and submitted to "unsuitable " behavior by security officers at Tehran's Mehrabad airport.

The journalists were reportedly questioned about the aim of their trip, its financing, and the people they met during their stay.
