Iran Pledges $250 Million To Palestine

Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyah (left) with Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejhad in Tehran on December 7 (Fars) December 11, 2006 -- Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyah today said Iran had pledged about $250 million in aid to his cash-strapped Hamas-led government.

Speaking to the Dubai-based satellite television Al-Arabiya, Haniyah also said Iran would support Palestinian workers and fishermen.


The Palestinian premier had just completed a four-day visit to Iran.
