Relatives Of Litvinenko Contact Uncontaminated

Dmitry Kovtun, pictured in late November (epa) December 13, 2006 -- Urine samples have confirmed that a family visited by a contact of Aleksandr Litvinenko, the poisoned former Russian state security officer, have not been contaminated with radiation.

The family was tested for radiation after traces of polonium-210 were found at their home in Hamburg.


Dmitry Kovtun, a contact of Litvinenko, had visited the house in November.


Kovtun himself is said to show symptoms of radioactive poisoning.
