Russian President Meets Jordanian King

Vladimir Putin (left) and King Abdullah II in Amman today (ITAR-TASS) February 13, 2007 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin told Jordan's King Abdullah II today that Moscow intends to use all of its influence to help resolve conflicts in the Middle East.
Putin and Abdullah, meeting in Amman, discussed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the situation in Iraq, and bilateral relations.

Putin arrived in Jordan from Qatar, after earlier visiting Saudi Arabia. He is due to hold talks later today with Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas.
