Russian Police Search Auditors' Office In Tax Probe

PricewaterhouseCoopers's Moscow office (file photo) (ITAR-TASS) March 9, 2007 -- Russian police have searched the Moscow office of the international auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Police officials said the search was connected to an ongoing investigation into alleged tax evasion.


Police say they suspect PricewaterhouseCoopers of failing to pay more than $9.3 million in taxes.


PricewaterhouseCoopers is also facing a separate investigation over audits of the bankrupt Yukos oil company.
