Bombs Strike Kirkuk, Baghdad

March 19, 2007 -- At least three bombs exploded in apparently coordinated attacks today in different parts of Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, killing at least 12 people and wounding nearly 40.

Just hours before, a bomb exploded near a Shi'ite mosque in central Baghdad's Shorja district, killing at least three people. Separate explosions were reported in Baghdad's Alwiya district.
