‘Hunger And Cold’ For Displaced In Kabul

Thousands of internally displaced Afghans and refugees who have returned from Pakistan and Iran are living in camps in Kabul. Although life in the camps is difficult year-round, winter is the hardest of all, as many endure the cold weather without sufficient clothing, fuel, or food. The United Nations’ refugee agency has been running an aid-distribution campaign, but many families still report that their needs are not being met. Sabawoon of RFE/RL’s Radio Free Afghanistan spoke to some of the displaced people about the hardships they face.
