Dozens Killed In Wave Of Iraqi Attacks

Rubble and burned-out cars littered the streets of Basra and Baghdad after a string of bomb attacks across Iraq that killed at least 50 people on July 2. Several blasts hit a hotel in Basra frequented by foreigners working in the oil industry, wounding three guards. In Baghdad, car bombs and other explosions struck busy markets and commercial districts in mainly Shi'ite neighborhoods. (Reuters)
