Scrapyard Becomes Fitness Center In Kyiv

Fitness enthusiasts in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, can enjoy exercising outside on the banks of the Dnieper River -- with the help of old scrap metal, wood, and tires. The open-air Kachalka gym features more than 200 weight-lifting options fashioned from junk materials. It was founded in the 1970s by Kyiv engineer Yuri Kook and is completely free. (Reuters)
