Animal-Lover Putin Greets Walruses, Dolphins

In his latest demonstration of affection for the animal world, Russian President Vladimir Putin fed dolphins and shook hands with a walrus at an oceanarium on Russky Island on September 1. Putin made the visit while wrapping up a regional tour to sites in Russia's Far East affected by recent floods. His previous photo opportunities with animals include leading Siberian cranes on their migratory route and measuring the teeth of a sedated tiger. (Reuters)
