On Suicide Prevention Day, Belarusians Speculate On High Rate

Belarus ranks among the countries with the highest rates of suicide worldwide, following Greenland, South Korea, Lithuania, Guyana, and Kazakhstan, according to data compiled by the World Health Organization. As countries observe World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10, RFE/RL's Belarus Service asked people in Minsk for their opinions on the country's alarmingly high suicide rate.
