British Captive In Pakistan Freed

A British journalist held captive since March by suspected Islamist militants in northwestern Pakistan has been released.

The British High Commission in Islamabad confirmed the release of British-Pakistani Asad Qureshi but provided no further details.

Qureshi was abducted by the previously unknown Asian Tigers group along with two former Pakistani intelligence officers in the country's volatile tribal areas.

The captors demanded at $10 million ransom.

One of the intelligence officers was later shot, the other released.
