European Air Traffic Expected To Return To Normal

Air traffic is expected to return to near normal across Europe today.

Planes were grounded across northern Europe after the eruption of a volcano on Iceland last week amid fears clouds of volcanic ash could damage airplane engines.

On April 21, most major European airports were operating.

The International Air Transport Association estimates the nearly week-long air disruption will cost the airline industry at least $1.7 billion.
