A senior Iranian official says Germany, Britain, and the United Arab Emirates are refusing to provide fuel to Iranian passenger planes since the United States imposed unilateral sanctions on the Islamic republic last week.
The ISNA news agency quoted Mehdi Aliyari, secretary of the Iranian Airlines Union, as saying the refusals have so far affected Iran Air, the national carrier, and a leading private airline, Mahan Air, as both operate several flights to Europe.
