Kyrgyz Police Arrest Afghan Carrying Heroin

OSH, Kyrgyzstan -- Police in the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh have arrested an Afghan citizen who was reportedly carrying six kilograms of heroin, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reports.

Muhammad Aman Gulam, 25, has been detained and an investigation has been launched.

An Osh Interior Ministry spokesman told RFE/RL that the suspect used to study at a Tashkent university and has lived in Central Asia for several years.
