Mr. Pot, Meet Mr. Kettle

This just in from the department of hypocrisy.

Anvar Azimov, Russia's ambassador to the OSCE, says Georgia is attempting to pressure the separatist republic of South Ossetia by -- get ready for this -- cutting off its natural gas supplies.

"The actions of Tbilisi in shutting down the pipeline can only be called deliberate economic pressure on South Ossetia, and a violation of international humanitarian law," Anvar Azimov told a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, according to Russian media reports.

I mean, you just can't make this stuff up.

The gas supplies run from Russia to South Ossetia via Georgia through the Gori-Tskhinvali pipeline. Tbilisi says they were stopped due to pipeline damage.
