Obama Aides In Pakistan For Talks On New York Bomb Plot

Two of U.S. President Barack Obama's most senior national security aides are holding talks in Pakistan today in the wake of the failed May 1 New York bomb attack.

A U.S. Embassy spokesman, Richard Snelsire, said U.S. National Security Adviser General James Jones and CIA Director Leon Panetta are meeting senior government and military officials in Islamabad today for talks focusing on "security cooperation" and "strategic dialogue."

A Pakistan-born U.S. citizen
who allegedly trained with Pakistan's Taliban in the northwestern Waziristan region was arrested after the failed car bomb attack in New York City's Times Square.
