Polish Airlines To Begin Regular Flights To Georgia

Thirteen international airlines currently fly to Tbilisi.

TBILISI -- Poland's national airline, LOT, will begin flights between Warsaw and Tbilisi as of September 1, RFE/RL's Georgian Service reports.

A spokesperson for Georgia's united transport administration told RFE/RL today that a schedule of three flights per week has been agreed upon.

The administration spokesperson added that Qatar Airways said it also plans to begin flights to Georgia soon and that the necessary procedures for those flights to begin are under way.

Currently 13 international airlines fly to and from Georgia: Scat Air (Kazakhstan), Turkish Airlines, Armavia (Armenia), AzAl (Azerbaijan), Austrian Airlines, Belavia (Belarus), Lufthansa, Ukraine International, Aerosvit (Ukraine), Czech Airlines, British Midland International, airBaltic (Latvia), and Arkia (Israel).
