California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has arrived in Moscow at the head of a delegation that includes representatives of some of the world's leading high-tech firms.
The visit is aimed in part at helping efforts championed by President Dmitry Medvedev to develop a high-tech industry in Russia.
Schwarzenegger, a former bodybuilder and Hollywood icon, is expected to lead talks with Medvedev and visit the city of Skolkovo, where Russian authorities are trying to create a high-tech hub on the model of California's Silicon Valley.
Schwarzenegger's trip follows Medvedev's visit to California in June.
The California delegation includes executives from Google, Microsoft, and Oracle.
