Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan say they have captured two U.S soldiers south of Kabul.
A Reuters correspondent in Logar Province, where the captures reportedly occurred, heard local radio stations broadcasting U.S. statements offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the safe release of the soldiers.
Reuters quoted an unnamed Taliban spokesman as saying three troops were captured but one had died.
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan has made no official comment on the incident.
