U.S. Missile Strike Kills At Least 13 In NW Pakistan

A U.S. drone aircraft has fired two missiles in Pakistan's North Waziristan region killing at least 13 suspected militants.

Intelligence officials told media privately that the missiles targeted on June 19 a house in Sokhel village, about 25 kilometers east of Miranshah, the main town of the region.

The United States has stepped up missile strikes in Pakistan's northwestern region since a Jordanian suicide bomber killed seven CIA employees at a U.S. base across the border in Afghanistan's eastern Khost Province in December.

Most of this year's attacks have been in North Waziristan.
