Afghan Police Chief Unhurt In Suicide Bombing

The police chief of the Afghan Province of Kandahar, Abdul Razzaq, escaped without any injuries when a suicide bomber made his way into the fortified police headquarters and apparently detonated his explosive prematurely.

Razzaq's secretary, who goes by the name of Ghorzang, said the attacker made his way into the police building by posing as a citizen with a complaint.

The bomber, said to be a teenager, was kept in a waiting room and his bomb exploded there.

The bomber was the only casualty.
