'We Need Help': Drought Destroys Crops In Rural Afghanistan

In central Afghanistan's Ghor Province, drought has blighted Murtaza Farzan’s potato crop and left him hoping for international aid, which has also dried up since the Taliban takeover in August. Many people have fled the land for the regional capital, Firozkoh, where a Taliban official told RFE/RL's Radio Azadi that nearly 70 percent of the harvest had been lost.
