Afghan Bomb Kills At Least Six, U.S. Embassy Attacked In Kabul

Afghan officials sayat least six people have been killed after a bomb placed on a bicycle went off near a police check point in the town of Pol-e Alam, in eastern Logar province.

Provincial government spokesman, Din Muhammad Darwish said 13 people were injured in the blast that occurred in a busy area on December 25.

Meanwhile, in Kabul, the U.S. Embassy said two rockets landed inside the embassy compound on the morning of December 25.

The embassy said there were no casualties.

The Taliban claimed they fired four rockets at the embassy.

Elsewhere in Afghanistan, a roadside bombing in eastern Kabul injured three policemen on December 25.

Kabul police chief, Mohammad Zahir, said one suspect was arrested over that attack.

He said police later uncovered an unexploded bomb in the same area and successfully disabled it.
