Swede Gets Prison Term For Auschwitz Theft

A court in Poland has sentenced a Swedish man to two years and eight months in prison for masterminding the theft of the former Auschwitz concentration camp's entrance sign.

Anders Hoegstroem, a neo-Nazi leader, had confessed to involvement in the theft in December 2009.

He will serve his prison term in Sweden.

The court also approved plea deals for two Polish men convicted of involvement in stealing the sign.

They were given sentences of up to 2 1/2 years.
