Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka said he will screen EU envoys individually before allowing them back to the country after their departure in protest of Belarus's human rights record.
Lukashenka said the European Union had to alter its approach to his government if the envoys want to return to Minsk.
Belarus has accused the European Union of "escalating tensions" with Minsk by recalling ambassadors in February from each of the 27 EU member states.
The EU announced the move after Minsk retaliated against new EU sanctions by telling the Polish ambassador and the EU's envoy to Belarus to leave the country.
