MINSK -- The Belarusian Information Ministry has warned the opposition newspaper "Nasha niva" about "possible consequences" of its inaccurate coverage of the deadly bomb blast in the Minsk subway on April 11, RFE/RL's Belarus Service reports.
The newspaper wrote on April 12 that when President Alyaksandr Lukashenka was laying flowers to commemorate the victims of the explosion, one of the victims, a young woman, was still lying under the debris and remained there until late that night.
But the ministry said on April 15 that "Nasha niva's" report was "erroneous" because all the dead and injured passengers were promptly taken to morgues and hospitals in Minsk following the incident.
The ministry did not say what the "possible consequences" could be for the newspaper.
The terrorist attack killed 13 people with close to 200 injured. More than 160 people are still hospitalized, 21 of them in a serious condition.
