Salah Abdeslam, the man suspected of playing a major role in the November Paris terrorist attacks that killed 130 people, has been extradited to France by Belgium.
Prosecutors in both countries confirmed that the extradition took place on the morning of April 27.
The 26-year-old Abdeslam had been Europe's most-wanted fugitive until he was captured in Brussels on March 18 after a four-month manhunt.
Abdelslam was due to appear in a French court later on April 27.
Investigators have said Abdeslam told them he arranged logistics for the November 13 attacks in Paris and had planned to blow himself up at a sports stadium in Paris but backed out at the last minute.
