India's interior minister says bomb explosions in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad have killed at least 11 and wounded about 50 people.
Federal Home Minister Sushil Shinde said the bombs were placed on bicycles and went off minutes apart in a crowded area of the city on February 21.
He was speaking to reporters in the Indian capital New Delhi.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called the bombings "a dastardly attack," and vowed that the perpetrators would be punished.
He appealed to the public to remain calm and maintain peace.
Television channels said all major cities in the country were placed on high alert.
