What Happened At Srebrenica

Twenty years ago, on July 11, 1995, Bosnian Serb forces led by General Ratko Mladic entered the town of Srebrenica and killed 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys. The bodies were dumped in mass graves. It was the worst atrocity in Europe since the World War II, and it happened despite the fact that Srebrenica was a UN-designated “safe area” garrisoned by Dutch troops serving as part of UNPROFOR – the United Nations Protection Force.
