A British couple convicted of planning a terrorist attack in London were both sentenced to life in prison on December 30.
Mohammed Rehman, 25, and his wife Sana Ahmed Khan, 24, have been jailed of a minimum of 27 and 25 years respectively.
Rehman was only a few days away from finishing work on a bomb capable of causing mass casualties when police moved in on May 28, prosecutors said.
They say Rehman had been stockpiling a substantial amount of chemicals and had detonated a small practice device in his backyard.
Rehman's wife helped him by paying for chemicals purchased on eBay.
Authorities say Rehman -- who had used the name Silent Bomber on Twitter – asked his followers on the social network to help him choose a target to bomb.
"Westfield shopping center or London underground?" he tweeted.
Rehman had reportedly been planning an attack to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the July 7, 2005 bombings that targeted London's transport system.
Those attacks carried out by four British Muslim suicide bombers killed 52 civilians and injured hundreds more.
