Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi said on September 20 that the crisis in Rakhine State will not be solved easily, and that tensions between communities there date back more than a century. Nobel laureate Suu Kyi is facing growing international criticism for failing to address the crisis in Rakhine, where a military crackdown has targeted minority Rohingya Muslims.
