Mubarak's Health Slipping In Prison Hospital

Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak sits inside the caged dock of a courtroom in Cairo on June 2, when he was sentenced to life in prison over the deaths of protesters.

Egyptian security officials say former President Hosni Mubarak has been slipping in and out of consciousness more than a week after he was transferred to a hospital inside the Cairo prison, where he is serving a life sentence.

Mubarak's wife and her two daughters-in-law reportedly were visiting Mubarak in the prison hospital on June 10.

Meanwhile, about 200 of Mubarak's supporters were in their second day of a protest calling for Mubarak to be transferred either to a military hospital or a private hospital.

Security officials and media report that the longtime Egyptian leader's health has deteriorated sharply since he was sent to the Torah prison after a judge convicted him on June 2 of complicity in the killings of protesters during the 2011 uprising that forced him out of power.
