Anarchists Claim Responsibility For Rome Bombs

Police at work in front of the Chilean Embassy in Rome after a parcel bomb explosion

An Italian anarchist group has claimed responsibility for parcel bombs that wounded two people at the Swiss and Chilean embassies in Rome.

A note stuck to the clothing of one of the two victims claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the FAI, or Informal Anarchist Federation.

The incidents bore similarities to an episode in Greece last month in which far-left militants sent parcel bombs to foreign governments abroad and to embassies in Athens.
