Northern European Nations Again Top List Of Happiest Countries

European countries Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway have held their positions as the world's happiest countries, according to the latest World Happiness Report released on March 16.

The report, which was released for the fourth time, ranks countries based on their citizens' happiness and subjective well-being. This year it included measurements of the consequences of inequality within societies for the first time.

Other countries in the Top 10 include Finland, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, and Sweden. The United States was ranked 13th on the list.

The bottom 10 were Madagascar, Tanzania, Liberia, Guinea, Rwanda, Benin, Afghanistan, Togo, Syria, and Burundi.

Others included Uzbekistan (49), Kazakhstan (54), Moldova (55), Russia (56), Belarus (61), Turkmenistan (65), Kosovo (77), Azerbaijan (81), Kyrgyzstan (85),Serbia (86), Bosnia (87), Montenegro (88), Pakistan (92), Macedonia (95), Tajikistan (100), Iran (105), Iraq (112), Armenia (121), Ukraine (123), Georgia (126), Afghanistan (154).
