An Iranian government website says outgoing president Mahmud Ahmadinejad has been ordered to appear before a criminal court on November 26.
The dolat.ir website said on June 17 that the case was based on a complaint filed by parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani and others.
The specifics of the complaint were not released.
There has been an ongoing feud between the two politicians.
In February, Ahmadinejad accused the family of Larijani of corruption and abuse of power.
Ahmadinejad played a barely audible tape during a parliament session, which he claimed was a conversation between parliament speaker’s brother, Fazel Larijani, and a government official.
Ahmadinejad claimed Fazel Larijani was seeking a bribe in return for political support to allegedly secure an illegal business deal.
Larijani accused Ahmadinejad of what he described as a "mafia-like attitude."
