Guards Killed In Bombing At Iranian Envoy's Residence In Yemen

A security official in Yemen says a powerful car-bomb blast that apparently targeted the Iranian ambassador's residence has killed Yemeni and Iranian security guards.

Guards said Ambassador Hassan Sayed Nam was not in the house when the attack took place in a diplomatic district of Yemen's capital, Sanaa, on December 3.

The security official said it was a suicide attack and that several guards were killed, Reuters reported.

The Associated Press reported that at least two security guards at the ambassador's residence were killed by the blast, which heavily damaged several buildings in the area.
