Car Bomb Kills At Least 11 In Iraq

Iraqi officials said a car bomb that exploded in a Shi'ite city south of Baghdad has killed at least 11 people.

The explosion occurred in the town of Al-Tanmiyah, some 50 kilometers southeast of the Iraqi capital and targeted Shi'ite worshippers.

The car bomb was near a tent being used by Shi'a to mark the day of Imam Ali and came just before the meal that breaks the daily fast Muslims observe during Ramadan.

According to police and medical personnel, at least 20 other people were wounded in the bombing.
