A mainly Shi’ite neighborhood in Baghdad was hit by twin explosions causing multiple casualties and news reports said two suicide bombers may have been responsible.
Medics told the Reuters news agency that as many as 15 people may have died in the blasts on February 25 that targeted a Shi'ite mosque in in Baghdad's predominantly Shi'ite Shulaa neighborhood.
Another 50 people were wounded in the blast.
The Associated Press, however, said one bomb detonated at the mosque, while another bomber hit the checkpoint at the entrance to the Shula neighborhood.
Four of the dead were members of the security forces, police officials were quoted by Reuters as saying.
Similar bombings in recent months have been blamed on the radical Islamic State group, comprising Sunni Muslims.
