Deadly Bombings Strike Kurdish Parties' Offices In Northern Iraq

At least 23 people were killed when two truck bombs struck the offices of Kurdish political parties on June 9. The mayor of the town of Tuz Khurmatu said a truck exploded in front of the offices of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Communist Party. A second truck blew up after people gathered around the dead and wounded. The attack was the second double bombing targeting Kurdish political offices in two days. (RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq)
