Israeli Shells Strike UN-Run School In Gaza

Wounded Palestinians, including many children, were rushed to a hospital after Israeli shells struck a UN-run school at a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on July 30. UN officials said at least 16 people were killed and 125 wounded. Also on July 30, the minaret of a mosque in Gaza City lay in ruins after a string of Israeli air strikes. Nearly 1,260 Palestinians have died in the past three weeks of fighting, as well as 53 soldiers and three civilians on the Israeli side. (Reuters)
