Secretary of State John Kerry has met in Jerusalem with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman as the top U.S. diplomat continues his latest Mideast peace mission.

It is Kerry's 10th visit to the Middle East in just under a year.

He is pushing Israel and the Palestinians to agree to a framework agreement before a nine-month deadline set for the talks ends in May.

Kerry met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on January 2 and reportedly would meet with him again on January 3 before also holding talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmud Abbas in Ramallah.

Both Netanyahu and Abbas have questioned the other's commitment to a peace deal.

Kerry has said the Israelis and Palestinians would have to make tough decisions to reach a framework peace agreement but pledged to help both sides bridge their differences.
